OEIC (Organization for European Interstate Cooperation) is a European foundation devoted to maintaining and strengthening the fundamental principles of democracy in the European Union. Through research and participation in the public debate OEIC contributes in creating a demand for structural reform that will make European cooperation more transparent, less centralized and more flexible and open to diversity.
During the 8th term of the European Parliament from 2014 to 2019 OEIC will focus on three main political themes :
- Transparency within the EU institutions
- Expenditure of the EU budget and wastefulness
- Institutional Development
OEIC produces books, reports, booklets and co-organizes seminars and workshops. Research is conducted both independently and in collaboration with other think tanks. OEIC is partly funded by the European Parliament.
